Anxiety

Bible Verses

Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Psalm 55:22: Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

Matthew 6:25-34: Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will clothe yourself with. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its evil.

Isaiah 41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Joshua 1:9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
John 14:27: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come before you today, my heart heavy with worry and my mind filled with anxieties. I acknowledge that I cannot carry these burdens alone. I cast my anxieties and worries upon you, trusting in your unfailing love and guidance. Grant me your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and help me to find solace in your presence. Help me to trust in your plan for my life, knowing that you are always with me, even in the midst of challenges. Give me the strength and courage to face each day, knowing that you are my source of comfort and hope. Thank you for your unwavering love and for being my rock in times of uncertainty.

In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
